I Sea Horses, from Sky to Sea
From the mother/daughter creators of Wild Heart Ranch comes this tale of how a herd of wild horses followed the light from a Star and entered the aquatic realm to become the first sea horses.
Pegasus, the leader of the herd, has had a bad dream - a vision in which his beloved herd will no longer be free to roam the land unfettered by fences and without human riders.
Acting on instinct, and in response to his dream, he leads his band of mares towards a new home - a home under the waves! There, the sea horses meet their Lucky Star, Marina, who offers a light to guide them in the dark waters.
In the tradition of Wild Heart's "No More Night Mares," the I Sea Horses story is designed to inspire young children to follow their dreams, and move beyond their fears into uncharted territory.
By Dawn Van Zant & beautifully illustrated by her 19 year old daughter, Cali.

About No More Night Mares:
In 1998, Wild Heart Ranch introduced the No More Night Mares Collectible Horse & Legend, a full line of collectible interactive plush toys based on the No More Night Mares Legend, written by Dawn Van Zant, inspired by her twelve year old daughter Callan, and illustrated by the widely acclaimed equine artist Kim McElroy.

The legend tells the story of an ancient herd of wild horses and their three mares, Moonbeam, Comet, and Lucky Stars who narrowly escape capture by thundering off into the night sky. They become one with the stars, lighting a path for all to follow, protecting all horses, everywhere.

This is a legend of courage, love, kindness and unbridled freedom.

The company originally launched the No More Night Mares product line in 1998 and is bringing it back based on retailer and consumer demand. The plush line is based on an original legend about a mythical herd of mares that escapes man by fleeing into the sky and becoming stars in the Pegasus constellation, where they fulfill a destiny to light up the night sky

Re-launching the line comes at a critical point in wild horse history following a new amendment to the 1971 Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act. The company hopes to help build further awareness for the plight of wild horses through the "No More Night Mares" line of plush and books, as well as through its interactive, website, www.WildHeartRanch.com. The amendment allows for the sale of wild horses to foreign markets, if the horse is over the age of 10, or if younger, then after they have unsuccessfully been offered for adoption three times. These sales may potentially result in the use of these animals for meat. Wild horse advocates are currently lobbying to get the bill reversed.
