Hard Cover Book From the Author: Bradford and the Journey to the Desert of Lop was inspired by Bradford Lawless and his courage in facing his battle with Ewing's Sarcoma. He was a warrior. The book is a combination of elements of truth from his real life journey woven into a magical journey of hope. If you believe in fate, then believe this book was meant to be. This book and product line started with a terminally ill nine year old boy telling me he liked camels, while I was visiting him at Canuck Place Children's Hospice http://www.canuckplace.com. When I asked what he liked about camels, he said " just about everything". Brad inspired me to research and learn about the last of the true wild camels in existence that have a genetic DNA difference from domestics and feral camels. Their immune system may hold answers to research in arresting diabetes and cancer. I was privileged to encounter desert explorer, John Hare, founder of the Wild Camel Protection Foundation (www.wildcamels.com) as I initiated my research. He was then kind enough to send Brad pictures and books about the camels and a new friendship was born. I adopted a new born camel for Brad and he named the young calf "Judy". Family and friends have generously donated to the foundation, in his memory, in hopes of saving the wild camels and continuing the initial research. The artist for the book, Alexander Levitas, lives in a Kibbutz in Israel. He appeared one day by magic in my email inbox as an artist looking for freelance work. His artwork was meant for this book and his personal background lends history and empathy to the story. I believe Brad found him for me, because I wasn't moving fast enough. It is my dream for Brad and his family that through this book, we help to save the vanishing wild camels in the Gobi and continue the valuable research that may result in a possible cure for cancer. That would be a fitting legacy for a warrior." Bradford Thomas Lawless 1994-2004 , A Boy who Made a Difference Dawn Van Zant
